At the beginning of 2026, MOVA brewery submitted three samples of non-alcoholic products to the World Alcohol-Free Awards — and received awards for all three positions!
World Alcohol-Free Awards 2026 is an international competition dedicated exclusively to beverages with an ABV of 0.5% and less. The global award does not evaluate alcoholic or low-alcohol beverages, adhering to the generally accepted standard of non-alcoholic products.
We submitted three positions and received the following awards:
1. Non-alcohol — silver — a light non-alcoholic beer that is difficult to distinguish from a regular one. This is our flagship non-alcoholic product, which has already won a significant number of awards, including World Alcohol-Free Awards 2025 and World Beer Awards 2024.
2. Dark Non-alcohol — bronze — the first dark non-alcoholic beer in Ukraine. Our second position for the most demanding, which has also received numerous awards, including European Beer Star and World Alcohol-Free Awards 2025.
3. Lemonade “Cucumber-Mint” — bronze — a consumer favorite among the line of natural lemonades.
What does this mean for us and the world?
Amid the global trend toward non-alcoholic products, we are not only keeping pace but also taking top places at international competitions. The Ukrainian market is confidently making a statement to the whole world in new categories and proving that Ukrainian brewers are true masters of their craft.
For us, it is an honor to join the elite of global brewing and represent Ukraine in worldwide awards.
About the competition
World Alcohol-Free Awards 2026 has been held since 2022, where winners are selected through blind tasting. What does this mean: judges do not know the name of the product or the producer they are tasting. They also do not see the bottle or label, except possibly in a protective cover; judges only know the category, but do not know the full list of participants. This approach to tasting and evaluation allows for the most honest feedback from judges from all over the world: from Canada and Britain to Portugal and the Netherlands.
Winning awards in such a tasting is the highest recognition. For us, this is more than just awards, as they symbolize not only the mastery of brewers but also the resilience of the Ukrainian people. MOVA brewery is located in a frontline city that goes through difficult times every day, and at the same time we believe that culture, taste, and communication are also weapons that shape the future. This is a reminder that even in simple things — in a sip of beer — one can carry a big idea. Ukraine speaks louder, even in competition with the whole world.
