Presentation of the Second Edition of the Book “The History of Brewing in Dnipro”

On October 3, at MOVA Space, we presented the second, expanded edition of the book “The History of Brewing in Dnipro.”
We dedicated this event to the Day of the Ukrainian Brewer, traditionally celebrated on the first Saturday of October.
For us, this is symbolic, as the book tells the story of those who created Ukrainian beer, shaped local culture, and left their mark on the history of our city.

About the Book
“The History of Brewing in Dnipro” is more than just a book about beer.
It’s a study that shows how brewing contributed to the development of the region’s culture, economy, and entrepreneurship.
From the earliest mentions dating back to Kyivan Rus to today’s craft breweries — it’s a story about people, ideas, and craftsmanship that shaped the face of our city.
The history of brewing is the history of Dnipro. Through beer, one can trace the development of local business, social changes, and the evolving attitude toward quality and values that define our identity.

What’s New in the Second Edition
The updated edition is the result of several months of additional research and archival work.
It has become deeper, livelier, and filled with new details that capture the spirit of the times.
This is not an academic study but a living story, written with love for the city, its history, and its beer culture.
We are confident it will appeal both to historians and to anyone who values local stories and authenticity in every detail.

Why It Matters Now
Today, as Ukraine fights for its independence and defends its cultural identity, it’s especially important to speak about what is ours — what was created here, by the hands of our people.
Brewing is one of those fields that has always united Ukrainians and reminded us that we are creators, not imitators.
This book is yet another testament to our uniqueness, craftsmanship, and love for what we do.
We believe beer is more than just a drink.
It’s part of the culture, craft, and memory of the city.
That’s why this book is not merely a historical publication but an effort to preserve Dnipro’s heritage — to show that brewing has always been a part of its spirit.

“The History of Brewing in Dnipro” is a book about people who brewed not only beer but also traditions.
We are proud to have contributed to its creation — and that here, in Dnipro, a city with deep brewing traditions, the story continues, written together with us.

For us, brewing is more than production.
It’s a way to speak about Ukraine, our city, and the people who love what they do.
We brew beer — but in truth, we create stories: living, genuine, and full of meaning.

We are grateful to everyone who helped bring this book to life and proud that in our city — Dnipro — the ancient brewing tradition not only endures but continues to evolve in the modern Ukrainian craft we create as the MOVA team.
